For the first time, this album was mastered in all analogue (AAA), from the original master. Mastered at 2xHD Mastering lab and cut at Bernie Grundman at 45 RPM. A newly unearthed studio session from the iconic pianist Bill Evans,' Some Other Time: The Lost Session from The Black Forest' is a landmark discovery for jazz listeners around the world. This Bill Evans trio session was recorded on June 20, 1968, nearly 10 years after the legendary Kind of Blue sessions with Miles Davis, and five days after the famous live performance at the 1968 Montreux Jazz Festival, which was released on Verve and won a Grammy. This is the only studio album recorded of this trio and features Evans in trio, duo and solo configurations with jazz greats bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette.
